All About Chakra's
 
    This class is will discuss the various properties of the seven chakra system, how they affect your body, mind, and emotions.  You will also learn and practice various time tested techniques on how to sense, directly work with, balance, and heal them.  This includes Yoga,

 meditation, mantras, mudras, crystals, and sound.  You will be able to take and utilize this information into your day to day life. 

 

    The Chakra system has been used and studied for thousands of years as an integral part of Holistic healing; from the ancient Egyptian, to the Hindu, Buddhist, Wiccan, and Shamanic practices.  Yoga, ayerveda medicine, Chinese  medicine, herbology, martial arts, reiki, crystal therapy, and sound therapy are some of the various types of therapy and methods that use the Chakra system.  Hatha Yoga evolved as a vehicle for opening and balancing the chakras (Le Page, Yoga Teacher’s Toolbox).

 

    Chakras (Sanskrit meaning spinning wheel of > energy) are really the “sixth sense”.   They are energetic vortex points located in your body that process incoming energy stimuli from all around you and also output energetic fields stemming from your mind, body, and emotions. They are a subtle energy system that can be used to enhance health and well-Being.

 

    Chakras can be directly worked with and  controlled; they offer an ability to really get a sense of control of your body, experiences, and life. Illness often starts in the chakras before manifesting in the mind, body, and emotions.  When they are out of balance or  malfunctioning they can cause illness, injury and

discomfort.  To experience complete healing holistic healing methods also believe the corresponding chakra must also be healed.

Yoga for Beginners
 
    A beginner’s class that will go over and describe some of the basics of Yoga; including breathing, sun salutation, some of the basic asanas (postures), and meditation. You will feel more confident and have a deeper understanding of Yoga for your next class!
 
    Dress comfortably in stretchy cloths as we will be doing the positions and be prepared to have some fun!

Intermediate Hatha & Vinyasa Yoga
 

    This workshop is an intermediate intro to a Hatha & Vinyasa style yoga workout. We will go over some of the intermediate asanas and do a yoga workout as well, including breathing and meditation. Dress comfortably in stretchy cloths, make sure you bring water with you, and be ready to have some fun, relax, and recharge your batteries!

Bellydance Fitness Workshop

 

    Come and have some fun while getting a great workout and learning to bellydance.  This workshop is great for beginner and intermediate students and is designed as a fitness style class with high repititions. It's more indepth then a class and will cover the movements in more detail.  Please make sure to bring water, dress comfortably and if you have a tassely scarf or hip scarf definately bring it.  For more info click here  .
